What areas does SBK Notary serve?

SBK Notary provides mobile service throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas, with select East Texas availability. Remote online notarization may be available to eligible signers and documents.

Where can a mobile appointment take place?

Appointments may be completed at homes, offices, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing facilities, assisted-living communities, correctional facilities, or another agreed meeting location.

What identification do I need?

Each signer should have a current, acceptable government-issued photo identification available at the appointment. Contact SBK before booking if a signer does not have standard identification so available options can be discussed.

Should documents be completed before the appointment?

Documents should be complete and ready for signing, but signatures and notarized dates should remain blank until the notary provides instructions. SBK Notary cannot select a notarial certificate or provide legal advice.

Does SBK Notary provide witnesses?

Witness coordination is available for $35 per witness. Witnesses should be requested and paid for when booking. At least 24 hours’ notice is requested when a witness is added after the original appointment is scheduled.

What is remote online notarization?

Remote online notarization allows an eligible document to be notarized through a secure online platform using live audio-video communication and identity verification. The signer needs a compatible device, reliable internet access, identification, and the ability to complete the platform’s verification process.

What is an apostille?

An apostille authenticates a public document for use in another country that participates in the Hague Apostille Convention. SBK Notary can assist with document review, notarization when required, submission coordination, and return delivery based on the document and destination country.

Can SBK Notary prepare estate-planning documents?

SBK Notary provides professional signing and notarization support for properly prepared estate-planning documents. SBK does not draft legal documents or provide legal advice. Signers should direct legal questions to the attorney or document-preparation professional who created the documents.

When is payment due?

Required booking payments or retainers are due when the appointment is reserved. When a balance remains, full payment is due at the appointment before document execution begins, except where a service-specific agreement states otherwise.

What happens if I am late or unavailable?

SBK provides a 20-minute grace period. A $25 waiting fee applies for each additional 15-minute increment. If the client cannot be reached after 20 minutes, the appointment may be canceled.
